    Saving Images from Web in VISTA

    Anytime I save images from the web in vista home premium it says it as a .bmp and does not let me change the format. This happens even if the link is something like http://whatever.com/picture.jpg or picture.gif... It doesn't matter if I right click -> save it will always be a .bmp image. How do I get around that?

    Try cleaning out your Temp files.

    I haven't had a problem like this in vista. I think it may be the browser. Which one do you have?

    I'm using IE 7. My laptops in RMA right now so I can't try out cleaning the temp files. I didn't know what I have now was an issue though! I always thought (since the problem has existed as long as I've had my laptop) that Vista just does this by default.

    BTW this is Vista Home Premium x64 I am talking about using Internet Explorer 7.
