Anyone know of a AutoHotKey script that will allow me to quickly turn the screen off on my laptop? Thanks

What do you really want to do?

Lock, minimize all windows, or ?????

There is likely a win+whatever key combo that already does it for you.

On Thinkpads, you can easily customize the screen to turn off by pressing Fn + F3. On other laptops, try this simple shortcut - I used to use it on my Averatec, before I switched to Ubuntu.

I have a HP DV6.. I am wanting to just turn the screen off say like if I am listening to music or just to save battery without having to close the lid and wear the hinges out.. MidnightSun, that app is perfect! Is there anyway to bind that to a key? Say like fn+F2

Easiest way is to pin it to your W7 taskbar, say, in the position closest to the start menu. Then, use the built-in W7 hotkey functionality to launch it by pressing Win + 1 (you can launch pinned items on your taskbar by pressing Win + #).
