I have Windows 7 RC installed on a Dell Studio XPS 435MT. I have the screen saver set to come on after 5 minutes. It runs for 5 minutes and then the monitor turns off. Antivirus program is set to run at 1AM. I have DSL.

A few minutes after the monitor goes off the desktop comes back on, then the screen saver comes on and then the monitor goes off again. This cycle goes on repeatedly.

My desktop with XP Pro is set up the same way and the monitor stays off until I shake the mouse or hit a key on the keyboard.

Any ideas to make 7 work like XP?

    Thanks

    Herman
