I cannot for the life of me figure out what I changed that keeps the screen saver from working in Vista. I adjusted my settings for battery vs. wall power that's all I recall.

I can force the screen saver on in personalize / properties / preview so I know it works. It just doesn't start up on it's own. Even when I have it set for one minute. Any suggestions?

Are you using a wireless mouse. If so that is probably the problem. You will need Microsoft's update to fix it. It can be found on Windows Update under Optional install, the title is "HID - Non-User Input Data Filter". Hope that helps.
