Hey, I'm sure this is a stupid question, but how do you take a screenshot in XP? I am trying to take a SS of benchmarks and a couple in-game shots. Thanks!

Your keyboard should have a key that says "Print Screen" or some abbreviated version of that phrase. Most likely, you'll have to hit the Shift key and then the print screen key. That takes the screen shot; you can then go into Paint or some other graphics/drawing app and paste the screenshot in and save it as a file.

Thanks for the reply! Although, I am working in XP on my aluminum Macbook, so it doesn't have a print screen key. Is there an equivalent key on the Macbook's?

That I don't know; you'd need to find some sort of chart that shows how the .Windows keyboard is mapped to the Mac keyboard.

There are also some utilities that would allow you to take a screenshot using a keyboard shortcut, google around for them.

Yeah, there is a list of Screen Capture/Recording programs listed in the free programs sticky.

You can also try using the On-Screen Keyboard feature in XP. You will probably have to edit out the pic of the keyboard and it probably wont give you as much options as a separate program...

Why not simply the good old-fashioned way, with google?

You could give Gadwin Print Screen a shot. It allows you to choose a different key combo to do a screen shot.
