I wasn't really sure where to post this, so please move as needed.

I have a netbook (see sig) connected though a VGA cable to a 720p LCD TV.

I experience screen tearing (as when VSync is off in games) while watching flash videos in fullscreen.

    • Only happens in fullscreen.
    • I've tried: (1) lowering the resolution, (2) changing refresh rate, (3) turning 'hardware acceleration' off in flash player, but the problem is still there.

I found several threads about this after a google search, but I wanted to see NBRers opinions...

I assume the integrated GPU is not enough to play flash videos at full screen without issues... but maybe there is something I could try?

    Thanks.

Have you already tried hooking your TV as the only screen and making sure that Aero is enabled? (if on Windows Vista or 7 - not Basic edition)
Aero is that 3D Flip thing and transparency, but it has the side effect of getting rid of tearing in most situations.
