Hey guys, I'm running Vista Ultimate, and was wondering if there was a way to set a screensaver as the desktop wallpaper?

Had a quick search but couldnt find anything...

    Cheers!

is your screensaver an image? if so, find it, right click on the file, and choose "set as wallpaper".

I dont think so, the only way that I know of having a moving wallpaper is using Dreamscape in Vista.

    :)
This is a little round-about, but I think it will work. . . Take a screen shot of your screensaver, (click on:Alt + PrtSc to capture the screenshot of the active Window). Then save it to MS Office Picture Manager, Photoshop or other photo capturing program. Then, put that photo into your Pictures folder, and set the Screensaver to "photos." You can customize according to the screen directions. That should do it! :)

PS Because Windows will show all the photos in your Pictures folder as screensavers, you'll have to make sure that your one screensaver photo is the only photo in the Pictures folder. I solved that problem by creating a new folder called Pictures2 for all the rest of my folders.

While not exactly a .SCR file, two ways to get full motion desktop visuals are WinAmp's 'AVS' (advanced visualization studio) running in 'desktop mode' or VLC media player (tools -> preferences -> Video -> 'enable desktop mode')
