Running Vista SP2 with IE 8, ZA Free, Avira Free and Windows Defender. Also the last Java version. This is a new problem that started occuring.

No issues here with IE8 on _Vista Home Premium, 64-bit edition. Check in your event logs around the time that you visited the webpage to see if anything got logged in there that might shed some light on the specific problem.

No issues with either FF 3.5.1 or IE8 (Vista 32 Home Premium).

But I do know that in the past at work (IE6 or 7 on XP), not only would I get script errors on some pages, but also a statement that I could open Visual Studio to debug.

Guys do me a favor. Ive seen this appear on other sites but the LA Times one blog section is the worse.

This is the home page for their blogs. My IE 8 freezes and I get a pop up with the error message previously posted. Have to click three times before the page loads. I have reset IE8 per MSFT instructions and also have set it to run in IE7 compatibility view for all sites. Same problems. Got a headache.

The problem seems to have gone away. Except I get a "Error on Page" on the bottom left hand coner of IE8.

I get those from time to time; generally doesn't seem to be an issue. You might try running those webpages that are still giving you trouble (if any) under the so-called "compatibility mode" in IE8.
