By "open Aero", do you mean turn on Aero Glass and switch the theme to it? I don't have anything to back this off of, but I doubt it...

there is a CMD command that closes and re-opens AERO... google restarting AERO or DWM.exe. You could create a .bat file that runs that command, then assign anything to it.

although I have no idea of all things why you'd want the scroll touch pad to start the glass effect? do you mean windows flip3d? just assign a hotspot.

Do you mean Aero Glass (the effect that makes your windows seem clear around the edges) or Flip3D (this allows you to scroll through your open windows)?

Logitech makes mice with a thumb scroll bar that runs Flip3D.

best way to go about it is to use the windows key next to alt +tab.

Instead of traditional windows swiching like alt+tab the windows + tab combo opens flip 3d then you can use your mouse scroll wheel to go thru them, upon letting go of the keys it will go to what ever window you have in front.
