As the title suggest I'm looking for a Scrolling Text Ticker for a TV to display information in a large conference room.

Anybody have any ideas or use anything like this?

I'm thinking PowerPoint but I dunno if it will do what I want.

Also don't want to have burn in.

I once wrote a basic program to do that on the Commodore 64 for a business that wanted to advertize daily specials using a TV monitor set up in their storefront window.

It's pretty easy to do it in HTML also. Just google it. Then use a browser to display your words.

    Thanks for the tip.

A little more info, I would like to set this up so that a secretary can input daily data that would scroll.

For example say if a daily performance goal was reached it would be input daily for a two week period so everyone would see how good/bad things are going.

Also some criteria would be constant only increment an example might be a certain number of days since some significant goal was reached or even a countdown to an event etc.

Did you get a chance to Google it? I did a search on 'scrolling text program' and got 12 million hits. :D

Some scroll vertically, others horizontally. Some free, some not.

Most any programmer can do that for you also. Don't you know any?

Then don't try it on a Plasma set. Judging by the number of posts about IR and Burn in I've read an all day scroll would be certain death on a Plasma. LCD (or better still, LED backlit LCD) would be a good display choice.
