    Seagate drive tool

    I have an Acer TravelMate 291LCi. The Seagate Momentus (ST94011A) drive idles in ~5-10 minutes of inactivity. Well, it's pretty annoying for me.. :(

    My question is, is there a tool to disable the idle function?



    I'm very sorry if this was asked before, but I'm in a hurry and didn't search for topics on this matter. :(

    If the Acer is like most other notebooks, that function is controlled in the control panel under the power options menu.

    Unfortunately it is not the case for the TM 291LCi.. :(
    According to the "power scheme" set up by me ("never turn off hard disks"), the hard drive shouldn't turn off when idle.
