Search.php popup issue on Google in Firefox and Chrome

For the past few weeks, I've had this issue while using Google. While doing a Google Search, occasionally I will get this popup:

Saving the file does nothing and I have no program to open it.

It's been rather annoying and happens every few minutes if I'm on google for a while. I got so sick of it that I decided to switch from Firefox to Chrome. But I'm getting the same issues on chrome too.

What could be causing this problem? The only extensions I installed on chrome are AdBlock Plus, FastestChrome, and LastPass. I also had these on Firefox too.

Any advice?

I saw that post but how could deleting search.json in the firefox profile fix the issue if I experience it on Chrome too?

 

There's an easy way to find out.

 

Tried it...still have same problem. :/

It's getting pretty annoying. Wish I could figure it out
