This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Security Updates for Older OS

    I understand that Windows ME and older OS are no longer supported by Microsoft. They no longer offer new security updates for the OS. But can you still download and install older security updates from Windows Updates site or do they shut the door all together?

    Windows updates still provides updates, and you get updates to ie6 that are browser updates.

    Also, google unofficial windows 98 service pack

    The windows update site will still work and let you download updates however no future updates will have been made since they shut off support.
