Hey all,
I've been using Windows 7 (build 7100) for awhile now. Ever since the OS was officially released, I've been getting the validation screen each time I start up or the "not genuine" warning screen. The activation process goes thru just fine.
I just wanna know if there's a way so that I can get rid of that. I tried to see if I can sign up for a new key, but no luck.
Any ideas? To my knowledge, the evaluation version should be good until Mar 2010.
Thanks!

There is absolutely a way to get rid of this issue. Try buying the OS.

OH... I didn't realize that.
I already bought a copy of Professional. My dad wants to try it out before it takes the plunge.
Thanks for your help. -
You can always install it first to try, and then not activate it. As far as I know you can just hit ESC when it prompts you for your serial number, as well as uncheck the box that says "activate when connected to the internet."

I never used it....
I signed up for the beta on 8/12/09, but then never installed it. -
Thanks! I'll give that a whirl tomorrow when I go home to install it!
Happy Thanksgiving! -
I think I have a beta key I never used if that doesn't work.

Did you get it going, how did it work?
