    Hello All

I have HP 8530w and Vista ultimate 32 bit installed. I recently purchased OCZ 2GB high performance (CAS 5) memory and added it to the laptop, now having total of 4GB.

Since i installed the memory my laptop gets a BSOD sometimes IRQL NOT EQUAL and Some times MEMORY MANAGEMENT.

I am confused as this happens only when i am playing radio and using firefox, when i am playing games or using MS office for extended period it does not crash.

How do i figure out what is the problem, i do not want to RMA memory if it is not the real issue....

Sounds like your ram is bad. Run a mem check (google memcheck)

Download Memtest86 from http://www.memtest.org/download/2.10/memtest86+-2.10.iso.zip and burn the .iso image to a CD. Make sure you burn as an image and not as a file. Start the computer with the CD inside and you should get to the Memtest86 screen. Let it run a few rounds and see if there are any red errors, which would mean your memory is bad.
