    Hello people,

I have 2 question, I have acer laptop right now and vista key license sticker at the bottom of my laptop. I'm thinking to buy windows 7. My question is can I sell my vista key code online? of course I cannot provide the retail disk because acer don't provide me any windows vista CD. Is microsoft allowing customer to sell their key?

Also if I set my graphic setting to maximum, will it interfere with online gaming. I don't think so because I can play smoothly with singleplayer mode but when I play online I can see some lag going on... I think it got to do with my internet connection.

    Thank you for any advice.

Check your ping, if it is high (500) then that is the problem.

    You want your ping <100

You cannot sell the key. It is supposed to be sold with your laptop only.

because the preinstalled windows are normally allways oem version, that means, bound to the hw.

get win7 upgrade instead, that's cheaper. then you "upgrade your vista".

Yepp, as Dave stated, its an OEM.

Also, they provide you with a utility to make your own recovery disc - that's why they no longer supply them. I guess it saves a couple of cents on every laptop.

When you first started your computer, you were presented with a End User License Agreement. You clicked "agree".

Within that EULA that you did not read, it specifically, legally informs you that the version of Windows you are agreeing to use can only be installed on the machine you reading it on.

The EULA that you did not read was also printed in a small pamphlet included in the box with your PC.
