    Guys,

I bought a media PC whitebox which came with a Windows XP home CD. The CoA and product key was stuck onto the computer. I would like to sell this CD on ebay and use the money to upgrade to Windows media center.

    1. If I decide to sell on ebay, do I have to sell it with some piece of hardware 'cuz this looks like an OEM version? :( :(
    2. Can this CD be used on any other PC with the same key? I don't want the buyer getting mad at me for not being able to do so!
    3. How do I remove the CoA sticker from the PC without destroying it?

    what's the deal?

According to the license agreement on the OEM version it can only be used for 1 computer. So selling it would go against the license.

    2) No it cannot be used on another computer. :( Sorry.

    3) You can't without damaging it.

    Hope this helps.

thanks! This does not seem to be a big-time OEM CD like dell which will work only with dell etc. but more like a white box version. Also, I will not be using it on any other computer once I sell it.

If it isn't already installed on the computer then you can do it. Otherwise it violates the license agreement.
