You'll need an all in one printer and a phone line. I use that to send and eFax (free program) to receive in email. You get a dedicated fax number.

what OS version do you have. Microsoft has built in Fax services in some of its windows versions. A modem line is then all that you need, to use your existent land line.

    cheers ...

    Thanks for replying!

Efax sounds interesting. I'll take a look. Though if I was not on the internet bit just had a phone line that is really the way I like to do it.

I'm running Windows Vista. I checked the help area but there's no mention of fax software on it.

Windows Fax and Scan service is in Vista Business or Ultimate. efax would probably be your best bet if you don't have those versions.

Thanks atbnet. I'm running Vista Home edition, so that explains it.

    Thank you all

Doesn't Vista have an installable 'Fax Printer'? I know XP did. (In XP) all you had to do was add Fax as a printer.

To be honest, I'm not sure if the fax software (BVRP) came with XP or the AIO printer. I would think the latter. It's possible to send docs, jpeg, etc so a printer/scanner isn't always needed.
