What are you talking about? Convicts? Risk of infection? That makes no sense whatsoever. How about a link to a reputable website that investigates Microsoft security vulnerabilities?

Looks like he's got something. There's a basic about.com item on this flaw dated July 9, 2009, here: http://operationstech.about.com/b/2009/07/09/microsoft-internet-explorer-security-flaw.htm

Apparently, while MS doesn't have a fix, they do say that the affected component is not used frequently, and can be disabled - Microsoft provides a link to do just that in the relevant KB article, KB972890.

Spradhan01 is to be congratulated for bringing that to the forum's attention, particularly since there are still a lot of XP users here.

Congratulated on what? Your ability to copy someone else's work and foist it of as your own? Your original message is a total plagiarization of this article:

    http://www.thetechplanet.com/2009/07/internet-explorer-flaw-makes-windows-unsafe.html

This is the third such indicent like this from you in the past 24 hours on these forums. If you are going to steal someone else's work and post it here at least site the source or provide a link back to the original. Don't pretend it is your own work and take credit for it.
