I have a Dell 6000 with 512mb ram running XP Professional and would like to run Server 2008 on virtual pc as Im contemplating commencing 2008 certification so would only be using this initially to complete labs. Unfortunately my laptop only supports max 2gb of ram.

It appears that this is possible however in the future I may also run vista on virtual pc as well. I can upgrade my laptop to a new one with 3gb ram but would prefer not to just yet if I can help it or perhaps Im looking for an excuse to buy a new laptop or one that supports more ram ??

Any help is appreciated as with views on exploring 2008 certification vs starting off on Server 2003 as Im under the impression businesses may not adopt 2008 for a couple of years.
