Hi guys...
Today one of my neighbors updated windows vista, in which one was the SP1 (her laptop had no SP1 installed from the factory).
Problem is that after download and installation, as usual the laptop requested to be rebooted. After reboot the service pack installation didn't work and stated that it would remove the installation or something like that. After the laptop would not boot anymore to vista and already tried Startup repair, bootrec.exe in command prompt.
ANY HELP WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED!!!!

ok...it does not boot--what does it do? blues screen? reboot loop? If so, choose f8 during the bootup and disable automatic restart

Would be nice if you could share the brand/model of the comp as well.
cheers ... -
It boots...it just keeps on going to startup repair after the windows loading screen. It enter the loading screen as normal, but then it always enter startup repair and never solves the issue.
Laptop is an Acer Aspire 15inch laptop with a dual core processor, not sure of the model number, but seems to be not that up to date. I will get that info by tomorrow morning. -
Model is Acer Aspire 5720Z

I am going to put the HDD in my DV7 second bay, do a backup of all the info and will reinstall vista. Thanks for passing by though.
