I'm still trying to make it work with IE11 on Windows 8.1 rather than switching to another browser, since a lot of Chinese websites work better with IE than the other big names. I use Bing for search, since Google and Yahoo don't always work here, and they're slower than Bing when they do work. However, I hate how I have to click "Search Bing in English" in the corner of every single search result to get the most relevant results. I've got a unique search ID on Chrome with my other computers that searches Bing in English by default, but I can't find that search address on IE's preset options and I can't figure out how to set a unique search address for IE11's address/search bar.
Any ideas?

I tried this on EnhanceIE.com - IE7 Search provider builder IE 11 (under Win 7) and it seems to do just what you want. Hope this helps

so you're able to add bing as the search provider but it defaults to a chinese search? i know it's not related to the search bar, but what's your language preference -- 'settings -> internet options -> language (on the general tab underneath appearance)'? it's pretty ridiculous that there doesn't appear to be an option to add a custom search provider like you can in chrome. for kicks, i wonder if the bing bar would work...

Bing sees that I'm in China so it defaults to the Chinese Bing engine, which defaults to searching in Chinese. It's possible that Bing has some settings somewhere to set the default search language; in all honesty I probably should have looked into that first. JOSEA's link did the trick, though.

I know the feeling. But what websites work best in internet explorer?
Surprisingly, on my phone I don't get any of the issues with Google that I do on my computer.
