So this is my first laptop or pc with 2 hard drives. Got a 128 g ssd for os and a 750g hdd. Laptop is a sager no 8268-s
So first thing I've noticed is that the documents, video, pictures. Etc are on the ssd drive with the os. I was explained how to move these using properties and locations tab which already had a bump. At first I selected D drive thinking it would make a folder there but all it did was turn my videos Into a shortcut for D drive which took some messing around to get back to nirmal( know now to make folders in D and direct them their first.
Next thing is I have a gtx 970m which has " shadow play" this is which from what I understand basically writes and re writes constant video stream. I can set parameters for time or so but say I have it set at 20 minutes, all I do is hit alt and f10 and it'll save and create a video of the last 20 minutes of a video game.
This seems to be thought of as hard on a ssd as it's constantly writing and re rewriting. The default file for this temp stuff is in my users temp files.
My options are to move temp files( not sure if that's a good idea) or make another file for these to go to in my hdd. Now my problem is if I make a folder in The hdd, will it start to clutter. I generally do disc clean ups and wondering if it would naturally find these temp files from shadow play in a random Hdd file I make?
Also with my documents, videos, music, if I move these away from their default location, will I run into issues with Windows or other apps not able to find them? Or confusing programs? They'll have same name, just different hard drive.
Thanks for any tips on this subject. Im decent with a computer but sometimes know just enough to get myself in trouble lol.

There are like 4 different active versions of windows out there - which do you use?
Here's a possible solution - especially helpful with a small SSD + HDD - User Profiles - Create and Move During Windows 7 Installation - Windows 7 Help Forums -
Sorry. Windows 8.1

You can also move folders that way with 8.1 too, should you want to go that route.
