This service is started automatically in Windows, does it do any good or shall I disable it?
PS: I have uninstalled Windows Media Player as I only use PotPlayer FTW (64-Bit)

what ever doesn't harm you might, at some point, do good for you. disabling it prevents that good.
disabling services does never help. that's a myth that might have had truth back in the days of xp. -
