I have windows vista business billgates edition installed and i noticed when i checked my video card settings i had an extra 895 megs of video memory that is shared from my system memory. I now have 1.05 gigs of video memory. Is there anyway to turn that feature off or atleast make it a lower value?

Your graphics card drivers will only take the shared memeory from the ram when it needs it. This will never happen unless you game and even then it will hardly ever take the full amount. So dont worry about it.

At least it's not the Steve Jobs edition, then it'd only run on a single hardware configuration, and you'd have to buy the OS all over again everytime a service pack was released.

Get the SpongeBob edition, it just soaks up all your resources, needed or not.

LOL , 1.05GB of memory for a VGA card using shared memory ??
Tops even an 8800GTX
. Who the heck writes these drivers anyways?
