Is it worth the money + security to buy Zone Alarm vs. using the free version?

Had the free version for a long time before upgrading to pro. The reason for my upgrade was wanting more control over how the program looks after things.
Must say though... it's the best protection for the money in my opinion. Once the inital configuration is done and the program learns from your computing habits, there are very few pop up warnings. The only annoying thing is when you install new programs.. then it goes nuts... LOL.. but that's a minor inconvienice to me. -
Maybe this is an odd question, is there a way to have 2 or more firewalls on at the same time and have them configured in such a way so they do not interfere with each other?

Yes it's "possible", but we're talking Peace in the Middle East "possible".
ZA is OK, although nowadays I only use hardware firewalls. Still, it'll give you some protection from the stupidity of others...and yourself -
Two software firewalls is not a good idea. XP should detect if you are using Zone Alarm and disable it's built in firewall. I have used Zone Alarm (free version) for about 8 years and finally stopped using it because of issues with restores. After the first reboot upon restoring I sometimes get an "X" on the ZA Icon. I'd try a reboot but always got the same thing. To fix this I would have to remove ZA and re-install it. Also, it can be tricky to set up a trusted zone behind the firewall. It's easy if you know what you're doing but for me it was trial and error 'til I knew exactly how to do it. It's very time consuming at first. I no longer use ZA and use the XP firewall and really don't miss it.

Well I've hacked and gotten full control over a computer (my setup of course) that was simply using Windows firewall. Trust me, it is a piece of junk.

I prefer what was Kerio firewall (can't recall the company it is now, just search for Kerio Free Firewall and it should appear) seems to be VERY user configurable, and I love the way it learns what is good (and what isn't).
Windows Firewall isn't something I would ever trust.
Should I buy Zone Alarm?
