LOL I have the copy on hand since 2 years ago, thinking if I should install it on my new sager. currenty running XP pro. decision! decision!
-
I would....might as well make use of the 4 gb plus support is getting better
-
I recently did it............now I'm finding that some of my games and other software won't load on it. The original Far Cry won't for instance. There might be a work-around that I'm not aware of since I'm not all that computer literate. I'm vacillating between keeping x64 and going back to 32 bit myself.

The disc that comes with the Sager 5793, regardless of the OS ordered (or none), assumes Vista x64. That should be a hint.

I would do it if someone would pass me a 64 vista business disc
-
I have been running Vista 64 for almost a year and I love it. Slim, I don't know why you were having problems with Farcry because I was able to run Hitman 2 which dates back 2002. I have said this before and will say it again: there are some games out already that take advantage of the 64 bit OS. 64 is the future and I haven't had any troubles running programs on my notebook except iTunes and Rhapsody; I believe iTunes supports it now. I would recommend to go for the switch and use the 64.

there are 64 bit games? any example?
-
Yes sir, Crysis is one of them. It actually runs better on 64 than 32.
-
Vista x64 is my friend...it even tucks me in at night!

INEEDMONEY Homicidal Teddy Bear
Go for it man. You have the system to run it. You could always dual boot...

-
hey guys, before installing it I got a question, how do you turn off all those warning thing in vista?
-
UAC? Run msconfig, Tools tab, and click "Disable UAC". Reboot.
-
wow! vista is mad quick! can't believe it only took me 15 mintues to install!! the betas took me 2-3 hours to install back to the day. W00t!!
-
Awesome, hope you enjoy x64!
-
Whats the difference between the vista ultimate and vista business (both 64-bit)?
-
Thanks. Do 64 bit OS limit programs?
-
But by and large I am not lacking nor do I feel cheated out of the ability to run any software. -
enjoy your vista x64
Should I upgrade to 64-bit vista?
