Ok guys, the old thread is really old so we decided to move on and create a new one. As we're getting many complains about huge images I would like to establish some ground rules for this thread:
Rules
- Do not post huge images. Make them a thumbnail image, or post a link to a larger image. If you don't know how to make the image thumbnailed I've created a simple guide using http://imageshack.us. If you prefer photobucket check the photobucket.com guide(Thanks to Manic Penguins). Another option is NBR build-in image attachments - you need to switch from "Quick Replay" to "Advanced". To do that simply click on "Go Advanced" button, right under the "Quick Reply" box.
- Do not quote images, just cut it out of the post.
- If someone post a huge image anyway please report using the "Report Post" function of the forum. It will be really appreciated if you do the thumbnailing and send the "thumbnail code" within the report.
imageshack.us guide
Note: This guide is just an example, you can use whatever image hosting service you want. Obviously, I can't cover all of them and I use imageshack.us because..well, no reason, it's just a choice I made.
When you post a thumbnailed image the result should look like this:
View attachment 31162Step 1: Open http://imageshack.us . When the page is loaded,
click on the browse button and select an image file from your computer.View attachment 31163 Step 2: Once you have a file selected, check/uncheck
the "Remove size/resolution bar from the thumbnail"(Optional) and click on
the "host it!" button. The uploading will take some time.View attachment 31164 3. Click on the code from "Thumbnail for forum(1)" box, this way
you're selecting it. Then copy and paste the code directly into the forum
post/message box. When you submit your post
the thumbnail should be displayed.

Yeah, I wanted to make guides for both imageshack and photobucket but then I realized you need to have a registered account with photobucket and imageshack you don't need one so it's easier to use. Though..I may add a photobucket guide later..

Dang. 765 pages in 2 years. No wonder it looked old.
Posting mine soon

They are both great! I also like PB, because you can *edit* your photo's quite easily (and it's fun), with all the Edit options!
A PB guide would be great!

send yours for x-ray! and share it here

You know, I'm sure it could be done...but possibly costly! $$$$
But, I have a friend who's an E-Ray Technician..I wonder if he could do this? hmmmm.
It would make a really cool BG!~

Here is mine again. Same as last post, figure I would put it on the new thread.
And to the Rules for this thread, I would like to add something.
You can use PrtSc, then paste it into Paint, edit it as you wish, then save it.
Then Reply to this thread, and at the bottom, under "Manage Attachments", select it, then choose "Choose File".
Once you locate you're saved screenshot, select it, then hit the "Upload" button.
It should now be attached in a Thumbnail, and when clicked on, should open up in a new window.
Hope this helped anyway. I find it a MUCH easier way rather then posting on Image Shack or Photo Bucket.Attached Files:

I had been looking for a grass or wheatfield desktop ever since i got my new computer, and i lost my old one when the HP $#it itself and died, and took all my stuff with it.
That said, carrot muncher posted his and was kind enough to post the wallpaper too, so now i have something very similar for my main desktop on my cube. so far, i am feeling right at home again, with my familiar looking old desktop or one thats very similar. its very minimalistic, just the way i like it. here's what i have at the moment:Attached Files:

Very pretty , Cin.

Wow! you're really utilizing that dock, i could never do that, to me it is just as bad and having too many icons on the desktop. I like to keep it kind of balanced between the desktop, quick launch, and objectdock.

Love the desktop Cin'
And T-1000000 sweet wallpaper.

Nice wallpaper.
Can you post the link where you got it from, if you don't mind? -

The Photographer also has a really cool one, inside the *surf* and the waves from w/in makes it look like shiny pieces of glass. It's sweet!
