I know it has been posted a few times, but for some reason I can't seem to find the threads. Sorry!! Anyway, I was wondering if someone could point me to a thread, or a site, that tells you what each process that you have running does. I have 48 processed running on startup (even after a clean install), and would like to fix that. Thanks for the help!!

I know the post your referring to but I can't find it either. But just searching one on google

    http://www.processlibrary.com/

Seems pretty good, and explains what each process does.

If you want to shut down individual services - Start > Run > services.msc > press enter. Then you can disable/enable certain services.

For reducing the amount of startup programs - Start > Run > msconfig.

Just type the process into google search - that's the easiest way to find out what a process is.

    Hope that helps. ;)
