Is there a way I can get Windows Sidebar to show up if leave the pointer on the right side for a couple of seconds like ObjectDock does? Having to go the desktop in order to see the sidebar is very annoying (I know about the shortcut but it's not what I want).

If this is not possible, is there any other sidebar-thingie that can work that way. I use Windows Sidebar basically for the Post-its gadget and the Calendar, I haven't found any other gadget I actually need. I read about Rainmeter but I can't even found a link to download it and I'm afraid it's not exactly what I want, I just need a simple sidebar to display those two things.

    Thanks.

Set it to always on top? Or you can press "alt+escape." Thats what I do for Rainmeter.

    DL link @ the bottom.
Rainmeter has a "post it note" app too. Calendar you can use Rainlender. DL link is the same as above.

Google desktop can also be configured to display as a sidebar. They also have quite a few gadgets.

Thanks, do you know if it's possible to install Google's sidebar w/o the indexing part of Google desktop?

I don't think so since that's the whole purpose of google desktop. I only use it for the side bar and it doesn't seem like the search/indexing part is slowing me down at all
