I know Win7 comes with a nice magnifier program. However it won't do the simple task I need it to do. I need to place the magnifier on a specific spot on my screen, and leave it there to magnify the text directly behind it. The Win7 magnifier always follows your mouse pointer or text boxes...you cannot leave it as a static magnifier.

If you know of any software that will allow this simple functionality, please recommend it to me.

I was skeptical that this would function as I needed it to until I tried it. It works great! Thank you so much, you have just increased my productivity and comfort!
