Is there a simple web authoring software product for Windows similar in ease and power to Apple's iWeb? I want to use my notebook PC more, but find that iWeb (as well as Pages) is extremely easy and flexible for creating new web sites.

Well the best I can think of is Dreamweaver. It's very powerful but can be very simple if you wan't it to. Most entry level editors force you to abandon one or another idea you had. Dreamweaver is by far the best and most powerful editor but at the same time it is very easy to use.

NVU is free and works very well for basic sites. It's not as powerful as Dreamweaver, however.

I second NVU. You can easily edit the code anyways, so if you know a bit of html/css you shouldn't need all the extras of Dreamweaver (though I perfer just to write the whole thing in plain text anyways.)

Thanks for the Nvu suggestion, it seems very straightforward and yet flexible. One question: is there a place where one can find a more extensive set of templates for web pages?

I vote Dreamweaver, its a very simple yet powerful program. If only it didn't cost so much.. I personally just do the HTML manually and I find that to be very simple also.
