    Hi,

I'm looking for really simple, clean but well designed vista themes that aren't the casual memory-hogging ones out there. I don't want to downgrade to the Win2K look, but I want something just a bit better.

    Any ideas?

Don't worry, unless you're using the windows classic look, all themes use the same amount of resources. You could however turn off aero by chosing the vista basic theme instead.

CeeNote, offtopic real quick: What are the disadvantages of dualbooting?

Basically just needing to reboot if you want to use the other system (plus increased HDD space usage since you'll have 2 OSes on it, plus any programs, and I believe that you can't share a program so you'd have to install it twice)

And I'm guessing the point of doing it would be to use programs that Vista's not ready for? Not sure what advantages there would be?

HD space is no problem for me. I stop myself from exceeding 40GB.

Well if you dual-boot, you can use two OS's like for instance windows and linux or vista and xp.

There is no real disadvantage for dual-boot when it's done properly (i.e. do not install both OSs in the same partition), unless you count using more HDD space is a disadvantage. When you boot into either of the OSs, the other non-active OS does not interfere with the active one at all.

    RE: Simple theme:
You'll notice if you maximise an app the transparancy disappears - well this is becasue vista stops all the fancy stuff and channels your resources into the app itsself.
