I am being greeted with a lot of issues these days. Now the problem is with my Dell Vostro 3460 laptop. I upgraded it to Windows 8.1. I don't see the skydrive shortcut anywhere now. My pics gets synced automatically but since am not using the account on my phone, the real stuff gets missed out.
Can we not change the skydrive accounts?
P.S. I am talking about the skydrive desktop app and not the RT app.

Have you tried reinstalling the app or have you tried looking for the skydriver folder, it should be in your user folder unless you specified another location.

He's asking about a shortcut to skydrive folder I believe. I don't have shortcut, but if you check task bar and right mouse on Skydrive Icon it allows you to go to your skydrive folder. That's for Win 7. Lord knows how to get there using WIn 8.

I don't understand what you are/are not trying to do. If you don't want something sync'd with Skydrive, don't save it in a Skydrive folder.

I dont think you've understood my issue. I cannot change the skydrive account in windows 8.1 desktop app. My phone gets synced with another outlook account, which I want to get synced with my PC.

What exactly do you want to sync your skydrive to? Getting complicated when you want to sync skydrive to a phone. But i guess smart phones may be able to do that. And you talk about outlook accounts. I don't know how to do that. Maybe try emailing MS Skydrive and ask them. Or maybe someone that understands your problem can chime in here and help you. Very sorry I couldn't help you.

Skydrive is based on your Microsoft ID (hotmail/outlook.com email). That address determines what gets sync'd.
Ideally if you want to sync your phone and your computer, you would log them both in with the same Microsoft ID. You can create another account on your PC and start using that. -
If you want to use the account that you use on your phone, right click the skydrive tray icon -> settings -> unlink skydrive. You should then be able to sign in using another Microsoft account, you will loose the synced files from the previous account in the skydrive folder though.
