Hi all, wasn't sure if I posted this in the right section and so if it isn't, please do move it. Many thanks.
I was wondering if I have a laptop that uses SU2300 CPU, would I be able to run Skype 5 beta in HD quality if I was to use an external webcam that does HD?
I know it says the requirements is a 1.8Ghz CPU but was thinking how all those TVs can do Skype HD without CPU and so if they can do it, can't I just buy a webcam that does all the video acceleration for me?
Any help appreciated.

I would guess a su2300 would be able to handle 720p. As for TVs that do it, they do have a CPU its just not running a full fledged operating system, which lets it dedicate more resources to Skype rather than skype and everything else you have on your windows machine. You could also try asking in the Hardware section.

I don't think skype HD worked on my 5810 with the su2700. The su4100 should perform a lot better

Skype HD is working on my SU3500,so it must work on the SU2300.
