I'm trying to use my integrated webcam with skype in the dark. For some reason when I first enable the video feed, I show up bright and clear as if it were flashing me or operating in night mode or something. However, after a couple seconds, the feed goes dark. Is there a way to make skype sustain the "night mode"?

I don't believe this is possible with skype per say!...If anything this would be a webcam setting...see if ur webcam has a 'night mode' feature.

I have a similar problem...Skype has a webcam settings option, I turn the auto settings off and gain way up and it gets fixed, temporarily, then it fades to black again. I turn the auto settings on again and it gets fixed for a while. I haven't found a conclusive answer anywhere, though.

2nd post#2 - it is depending on the webcam device and the lighting!

    cheers ...

It was just adjusting to the lighting...
