I find my computer constantly going to sleep when I dont touch it, sometimes only after a minute. Now, I have all my power options set to so it doesn't sleep at all, on battery or plugged in. Running Windows XP Pro. I even have a bittorrent program open that has an option to prevent Windows from sleeping.

Really confused by this. Any help?

I have the same problem sometimes. I'm running XP Home SP1 with no programs running at all when this happens, and no bittorrent has ever been used on this machine. It's a desktop, and I've never set it to sleep after any length of time. The problem seems to occur mostly when I've put the computer on Standby earlier (though not always), which is in itself an exercise in futility as it never stays in standby - it wakes up without me doing anything. Hibernate, on the other hand, usually works OK.

The only really problematic application I have is Zone Alarm Pro; I'll see if it's better after I get that uninstalled. Sorry I don't know how to fix it, but you're not alone with these problems.

edit: The computer is the one I'm replacing in my sig.
