    Hi, I'm looking into getting a new laptop, and I was wondering, what's the difference between hibernation and sleep, if any?

    Sleep = S1/S3.
    Hibernation = S4.

    Sleep uses power to keep the memory alive, and hibernation saves all memory to disk then shuts off the system completely.
