I just got my Vostro 1500 today with Vista Home Premium. When I pull up "pictures" and slide show, I noticed that the pictures don't dissolve, they just cut to the next picture. Is there a way of setting pictues to dissolve? I noticed on laptops in stores with Vista they do dissolve.

move your mouse to the bottom and on the left side of the toolbar click theme and choose fade.

With my current Dell system (please see specs in my sig), I can't seem to get the slide show to run the pan and zoom (and crossfade) at native resolution. It always seems to bump down to 1280x800. Is there any way to prevent this and to force the system to run the slideshow regardless of performance?
