I'm on dial up right now, so I can't download the full 1.4 GB WAIK file to get vLite to work. How can I get it with a small download? Supposedly I only have to have intlcfg.exe, wimfltr.inf, wimfltr.sys, and wimgapi.dll for my processor from the WAIK, then I can right click install the wimfltr.inf. How can I get these? If I can't, or they won't help, how can I get vLite running without downloading the full WAIK? Thanks for any help.

Yeah it does kind of suck to have to download that entire image file in order to get vLite to work.

To be honest, I am not sure exactly sure if you can get it to work with just those files (like tricking it). But I'm sure you can. I know nuhi did this to avoid getting into trouble with Microsoft.

Just found that kind of funny, Ii know what you meant to say :)

Yes, I figured out how. If you install the old version, it will have the files. Then you can install the new version over it, keeping the files. I ended up just getting the files themselves (~1 mb) and copying them to the folder manually. Thanks for trying to help though.

yeah, when i installed the older version, i didn't have that crappy waik pop up. Anywayz i prefer the older version, cos the iso's created using the newer one can sometimes be very dodgy especially wen slipstreaming sp1

if you install the old version of vlite, then install the new one,
you dont have to download and install WAIK
