Recently my external HD craped out and I'm going to try and do everything I can to recover some important files from it. The HD itself makes clicking sounds when plugged in and brings windows to a standstill while doing so with no result of a recognized external. Ive heard I can take it out of the casing and plug it into my desktop and see what I can get with some recovery software. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good software for recovering my data off this HD that is no longer working (tried with several computers, freezing clicking etc.) Thanks
