. Why does it keep asking me for my passwords?!
I have two gmail accounts under it. One of them it asks me about 10 times a day to input my password.
I clicked REMEMBER PASSWORD BUT I GUESS THUNDERBIRD HAS ADD.![]()

Yeah, I've had that too, mostly with gmail. Hopefully it will be fixed in new versions. Maybe I should let Thunderbird know.

I use TB and it does not bother me with passwords.
I have some four 'ordinary' email addresses and three gmail account that are accessed several times every day.
There could be several reasons for your problem. Could it be that your connection is too crowded (P2P, torrents, other services accessing the net) and TB does not receive an answer from google and interpret that as having submitted a wrong password.
Perhaps your antivirus or firewall is interfering with it. My avast intercepted everything and I remember I had to change certain settings to accomodate for the server that sits in between me and the provider.
Since you did not specify anything about your configuration and my crystal ball is under maintenance, that's all the help I can give. -
That's why I put my specs in my sig.

Um I don't think knowing the model of your laptop is gonna solve anything regardless of what is being said...

I just checked, and it works great with Opera. And Opera's faster too.

You know, some people don't want to use Opera - and this comment isn't really helping either.

I found this problem too. That's really annoying. I think mostly it is with Gmail IMAP.
Anyway, sadly, once I use Outlook & Live Mail, I just couldn't go back using Thunderbird again. It's like going back using Win95 or something. Oh! I know Outlook is painfully slow, but "rules & alerts" is such a nice feature. I hope new version of Thunderbird would improve its UI a bit and add sort of "rules & alerts" so I might switch over again. I still miss very fast e-mail client like it. -
Its not Thunderbird, its because of Gmail so they can avoid too many checks. Just adjust auto email checking to 10+ minutes.

True dat but he mentioned firewalls, AV's and the like. Regardless, I'm more apt to believe it's a gmail imap problem.
So sick of Thunderbird!!!
