I've encountered several problems with windows 7 on my old test machine as I expected but some things should be working. and sometimes Windows crashes or freezes.

Is it just enough to hit Send Feedback, and that send Microsoft code about what is going on.

Or is it necessary to provide various extra details. ?

send feedback should be enough. at least, during the evolution of vista the last years, that way they fixed tons of bugs.
