I searched help and support in Windows 7, but no results for aero snap. How do I execute this gem?

the shortcuts by rightclicking the taskbar existed possibly since win95, don't remember. you can select more than one window by holding the control key, then rightclick and choose "side by side", or other arangements. -

Does anybody upgrade their OS these days? I've done it with my home machines and a few at work- I bought the XP upgrade and loaded it. But I think most people don't do this. They buy a computer and whatever OS it comes with stays on it until they throw it away.
How many people choose their OS? A lot of corporate buyers probably do this, I know that my company does. We chose XP because it matches our older machines, we know how to deal with it, and it works well enough for us. I don't know what the market share is for corporate buyers vs. home buyers, but I think most home buyers buy the computer and buy whatever OS it comes with. Between my wife and I we have 3 XP computers and 2 Vista computers. We bought new laptops that came with Vista and we were happy with that.
I don't know what it will be like when W7 is available for sale. If consumers can buy either one, they may choose W7 because of the bad characterizations of Vista. But then again a lot of people have developed the philosophy of "don't buy the new OS until after release of the first SP".
I think my company will switch to W7 sometime in the next couple of years. Partly this is because I anticipate replacing my current workstation in about that time frame, and I will likely spec. W7 for it. The other factor is that some of our new CAD apps require a lot of ram and may begin to function better with a 64bit OS. If we are going to upgrade OS then I think we should upgrade to W7. -
If you have the time and can spare one of those 5 computers, download and install the Windows 7 RC on one. Take it for a test drive. I backed my XP machine (an old Pentium 4 2.6 ghz with 1 gig ram) to an external hard drive with Acronis and did a clean install. Then I installed some apps I really wanted to run. Serif Photo Plus X2 and Office 2007 Home Version. Win 7 didn't come with Windows Mail, so I downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird and Mozilla Lightning for a calendar program. I installed Norton Internet Security 2009 trial for malware and intrusion protection. I am pleased with the performance so far. -
So will Windows 7 FINALLY be the death of Windows XP?
