This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    I got banned from a politics forum because they thought I was a sock. Apparently it looked like my IP was coming from California and Kansas when I live in (gasp) Mississippi at this time. They say it matches up with a long time banned member. From my end it's total BS.

    Anyway, is there anyway to prove my case?

    ipconfig - this should give you the info of your IP address and forwarding it to the admin of the forum in question. Now if you are using a proxy service then everything is up for grab

    Or give them a screen shot of the speedtest result. This should show pretty much where you are :D
