Hey all,
I just bought an HP dv2500t laptop that came with a fingerprint reader. When I first received this computer, the fingerprint reader allowed me to log in to windows simply by swiping my finger over the reader.
I just installed a new version of vista (business) and after installing all the drivers from HP for the reader, I find that it does not allow me to log in using the reader. THere is no program to register users with the reader.
My question is:
What software do I need to make this reader usefull and where can I find it?
HP support was absolutly useless...

bump - Anyone know?

HP Protect Tools is the software that allows you to register users and store prints. If you haven't tried already, I'll look in the HP forum on this site. But you can find Protect Tools on HP's website.
