I need to move some folders around, but I am having some problems doing it. I combined two partitions since I didn't like how things turned out. Now I can't move some of the files. Is there a free program that will help me do this?
    Thanks,
    Tim

Rawr, sometimes this happens when merging partitions.

I don't think there is an easy solution to this and you are pretty much screwed.

Since you have combined 2 partitions this probably messed up a lot of windows registry settings and a lot of other links to shortcuts and other such things.

My suggestion to you is to backup everything and do a fresh install of windows. I strongly suggest this.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Can you copy? I think you'll be able to copy some of the files and then delete them from the original place. What program do you use for creating/deleting partitions?

Thanks for both of your help. I did reformat the drives. Only takes about three hours. That's nothing. ;) At least I don't have to worry about any more problems.

I did try to copy them to a different file but it didn't want to move it. I deleted the partition with partition magic.

    Thanks for the help,
    Tim
