I want to be able to play games i have purchased without using the cd. I know you can use things like daemon tools and alcohol 120 to run an optical drive with an iso file, but i have had bad experiences with the two when i tried to remove them. Is there anything else I could use? I don't mind buying it. I just want to be able to create ISO's from my games and run it on my computer while keeping the game cd on my shelf. I want to stay away from spyware and adware so i am not comfortable with using daemon tools or bit-torrent or things of that nature.

    Thanks.

There are no-cd cracks/patches for many games, both Mac and PC alike, although I'm uncertain as to the legality of posting links to those places here on this forum.

I'm not looking for a link to download games, i'm looking for something that will make iso's from my games and that will play those iso's in a virtual drive.

DAEMON tools and Alcohol 120% are probably the best tools out there for what you want. What kind of uninstallation problems ? If you don’t want the extra drive letters or the program to load each time, then you can configure it.

The problem was that daemon and alcohol installs its own drivers which is a pain in the ass to uninstall. Specifically SPTD (SCSI Pass Through Direct). It wouldn't uninstall when i uninstalled daemon. I tried downloading the sptd setup utility itself and uninstalling it and then that didnt work. Daemon made it so i coudlnt burn a dvd on my real drive because that optical driver was screwing everything up. I ended up having to install windows to get it off.

I just heard about NERO, can that create iso images of my games?
