I know I've found some before, but can't seem to find it again. I want some software that enhances the sound coming from your computer just like the Creative sound cards do.

    Does anyone know of this?

I believe the creative sound cards are partially software based...anyway.

You could try Winamp - it does have an equalizer, and I believe that is what you need.

But comming to speak of it - Windows Media Player has one too.

(Winamp is easier to use though)

I already have an equalizer. I have a Creative sound card in my desktop and would like to get the same enhancements with out having to buy the creative notebook sound card.

    One being the Bass boost.

If you are using Winamp, you can get the free DSP plugin, "Enhancer". Its great. You can get it here

    Thanks
I'll try that if I can't find the program I'm talking about.
I know it cost money and has a free trial. The company that made it put that dynamic bass booster into portable speakers of the sort.

If someone can help me find this it would be really helpful.
I just can't remember the website I went to.

Winamp + Jammix Enhancer, it is more than just an equalizer. Try it and see, the best DSP plug-in I’ve used, produces amazing deep bass sounds while maintaining clear highs. Whats more its FREE ! :D

    Hey Guys,

I have used Jammix Enhancer before, and still have it infact. But I could never manage to get a proper sound out, with deep bass.. :( May be I just don't know how to get the settings in properly. I have tried the different presets too, but somehow I have not been as happy as working with the Enhancer (linked before in my earlier post).

Is it possible for your get a screen shot of the Jammix Enhancer (Bass and Music, tabs) for us here, please? Of course I know the sound depends on the speaker quality too, but I have a good set of desktop speakers.

    Thanks a lot, people :)

    Thanks @ vinumsv.

I tried this preset, but was not happy. :(

The closest I get to enjoying some good setting is either with the "desktop speaker killers" thing or the "dynamic bass boost". But even these two, I feel like tweaking little more to make it better, but just can't figure out the right setting!!!!!

Anyway, atm, I am with Enhancer. But will play around with Jammix more :) Thanks again.

I've stopped using it in Windows after buying the X-Fi external card. But used it extensively for a long time before that, and still use it sometimes when I'm on Linux (Winamp on Wine), but mainly with earphones.

I'm not sure about speakers, but with earphones it makes a big difference (can't remember which preset I used).
