    Hi, I downloaded a student version of Autodesk Inventor about a week and a half ago. It was working fine untill now. I tried opening it and out of the blue when I go to open it, it says, "Autodesk Inventor 2009 has stopped working". The problem details are as follows.

    I have already tried rebooting my computer to no avail, I want to avoid uninstalling and reinstalling it if possible. Any ideas about what might be going on?

    That's an access exception error. There's at least one thread on the Autodesk-Inventor 2009 forum that seems to have some solutions, so you might want to read through those first. The thread is here.

    Thanks for the help, I was able to fix the problem with the info I got on the forum you recommended me to. I need to delete certain files everytime I want to use Inventor, which is a pain, but I am just happy it works.

    Starting to see why Vista has gotten such a bad rap from all my engineering buddies...
